BPC Bulletin: The CBSA's Quarterly Lists of Prohibited Publications
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has provided two new lists of imported publications that the CBSA detained in the second half of 2018.
The CBSA detained these publications because they were suspected of violating the legal bans on hate propaganda or obscenity.
The CBSA permitted some publications to enter Canada but barred others from entering the country. They included DVDs, magazines and comic books.
The Book and Periodical Council was formed in 1975 as the Book and Periodical Development Council to provide a venue for members to discuss industry issues, address mutual concerns and undertake projects for the benefit of Canadian writing and publishing.
