BPC Bulletin: An Act to Restrict Young Persons’ Online Access to Sexually Explicit Material

In Ottawa, a controversial bill that aims to shield youngsters from viewing online pornography is steadily moving through Parliament.

Legislators in the House of Commons completed the Second Reading of Bill S-210 — An Act to Restrict Young Persons’ Online Access to Sexually Explicit Material — on December 13, 2023.

Senator Julie Miville-Dechêne introduced the bill in the Senate on November 24, 2021. The Senate passed the bill on April 18, 2023.
