Todd Kyle is CEO of the Brampton Library in Ontario, leading a network of 8 branches serving a population of over 700,000. He is passionate about the role of libraries in serving diverse communities, fostering digital equity, and facilitating informed and free exchange of ideas. An experienced library and literature advocate, he has been President of the Canadian Children’s Book Centre and of the Ontario Library Association, as well as Chair of the Canadian Federation of Library Associations. He began his career in several roles with the Mississauga Library System, overseeing the opening of the Churchill Meadows Branch in 2007, after which he spent 11 years as CEO of Newmarket Public Library. In 2006 he was named OLA’s Children’s Librarian of the Year.
