Dax D'Orazio is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Alberta. He holds an MA in Political Economy and a BA in Public Affairs and Policy Management, both from Carleton University. His SSHRC funded dissertation project is an examination of the alleged 'free speech crisis' gripping contemporary university campuses in Canada. As a political theorist with an investigative journalist's heart, his research combines empirical data gathering like interviews and access to information with political theory and philosophy. An award-winning teacher, he is also passionate about pedagogy and freedom of expression advocacy and policy.
