BPC Bulletin: Le Journal de Mourréal Loses Trademark Dispute

In the Superior Court of Quebec, Le Journal de Mourréal — a satirical website — has lost a trademark dispute with Le Journal de Montréal.
Justice Micheline Perrault ordered Le Journal de Mourréal to change its name. She also ordered Jannick Murray-Hall, the satirical website’s creator, to pay $23,500 to Le Journal de Montréal.
Mr. Murray-Hall may appeal.
