**To be rescheduled in the fall due to current international travel restrictions**

Sidewalk Toronto’s “smart city” project raises issues of intrusive surveillance, inadequate privacy and data protections, and lack of democratic control. The panelists will share stories and insights to help illuminate exactly what’s at stake when tech is pitched as a panacea for city problems.
